We’ve done extensive work for Mercer Celgar. This has included installing Fibre Optics, Networks, Access Control Systems, Security Cameras, and a variety of AV solutions across their facilities.

In the summer of 2022, we designed and installed a complete video conferencing solution for them using Google Meet hardware, ceiling-mounted beam-tracking microphones, and auto-tracking cameras. This system has enabled on-site staff to seamlessly conduct safety and project planning meetings with remote staff.

Columbia Basin Trust

DHC is proud to be the prime contractor constructing a new fibre optic backbone from Fruitvale to Nelson for Columbia Basin Trust. We’re thrilled to be working locally applying our diverse skillset to directly improve broadband connectivity for residents of the Kootenays. This $5M project consists of 70 km of new cable funded by Canadian Radio-Television and Telecommunications Commission, the Province of British Columbia, the Regional District of Central Kootenay and Columbia Basin Trust.

Hot Springs

We upgraded Fairmont Hot Springs Resort’s network systems by installing fibre, replacing old copper cabling with a new structured cabling system, building a new central communications room, and expanding WiFi coverage across the resort grounds. These improvements have increased their operational efficiency and provided fast, reliable connections for their employees and guests.

We provided the network infrastructure and security monitoring that supported the construction of the new Kootenay Lake Ferry.

This included installing Fibre Optics, setting up on-site WiFi, and providing 24/7 remote video monitoring with security cameras from Avigilon.

Red Mountain Resort

We are the primary provider of technology infrastructure for Red Mountain Resort. Our team is responsible for everything from their lodge WiFi and Security Systems to bringing connectivity across every corner of their terrain with Fibre Optics and Radio Links.

In the fall of 2022, we installed new state-of-the-art SkiData Electronic Lift Gates with RFID technology to boost the efficiency of Red Mountain’s ticket checking systems. The new gates created a smoother experience for guests, while providing key visitation analytics that allow the resort to optimize their mountain operations and make strategic improvements in the future.
